Championship League Darts
The Championship League Darts is a PDC tournament that was formed in 2008 and has been played annually since. The tournament uses a league and legs format with each league being completed over the course of one day of play.
There are eight groups throughout the competition with the winner of each group progressing to a final group of eight.
The tournament starts with Group 1 consisting of the top eight players in the PDC Order of Merit. Each player plays every other player in the group once in a best-of-11-legs format, with two points awarded to the winner of each match. The top four players at the end of the group stage then progress to the semi-finals with the winner of each semi going through to the final.
The winner of the final then progresses to the tournament-concluding Winners Group while the bottom two finishers in the league stages are eliminated. The next three players in the PDC Order of Merit then replace those three players to form Group 2. And the process repeats until Group 8.
The eight group winners then meet in the Winners Group where the same format is repeated and the winner of the final is crowned the Championship League Darts champion.

Championship League Betting
Championship League Darts betting is unique in that the tournament would not have been made possible without Darts Betting. The tournament is entirely funded and screened by online Bookmakers who show every single match from the start of Group 1 through to the final of the Winners Group via their live streaming feeds.
Championship League Darts betting markets tend not to be as numerous as they are in other, televised tournaments. Punters can still bet on the outcome of every match but most bookmakers do not offer betting markets on outcomes such as the number of 180s hit, the highest checkout or the correct score in a match.
Aside from the betting exchanges the opportunities to bet in-play are also limited. There’s often a quick change around between games and punters need to be on their toes to line up their bets for the next match begins.
